Archives for posts with tag: distress markers

Two days ago I was given some ancient beautiful large wooden buttons that date back to the 50’s. They remind me of an owl with holes looking like big round eyes and marking which make them seem feathery. I thought this week’s Freshly made sketch would match them nicely. I started with a card with a blue background, and made another with very light green. I can’t decide which one I like more.

I have discovered the world of challenges and am about to become an addict…

The colours on The Play Date Cafe challenge number 152 made me think of outer space.

I saw this sweet free digital stamp of a rocket and instantly decided to use it. I must confess I tried sewing the frame, but I am so useless with the sewing machine it came out all crooked and I had to redo it with a white gel pen.

Cardstock – Recollections Precious Metals and some unknown purple cardstock

Ink – Tim Holtz Dusty Concord distress marker, Sakura white Glaze pen

Wow, I must have linked it at the very very last moment. At least I hope I did

I do apologize for the quality of the photographs, they were hastily taken, indoors, without a flash.

Only a few hours ago I have found this adorable website and decided to try and participate as I adore the colour scheme. I was so lucky as today I finally received my very first Spellbinder Impressabilities and was really pleased I could use them.

I made a spinner card using these materials:

Cardstock – Recollections precious metals

Impressabilities – Flower Silhouette

Ink – Tim Holtz barn door ditress ink and stormy sky distress marker

Brads – Eyelet Outlet stitched flower fall, Making Memories harvest

Punch – EK success

New Year Cards

The Jewish New Year’s Eve is on the 16th of September. As I am on holiday at the moment, I thought it would be a great use of my time to start making all the cards now. I will probably make 10 of these

Paper – simple white cardstock, light blue patterned paper I have had for ages and can’t remember which brand it is
Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug Swiss Dots

Stamp – Inkadinkado Patterned Bugs
Ink – ColorBox pigment Robin’s Egg, Frayed Burlap distress marker

Ribbon – again, no idea what brand it is. Very simple ribbon which I bought by the meter.
